What is Infrared Thermal Imaging and Why insist on it during your home inspection?

What is Infrared Thermal Imaging and How Does it Work?

Thermal imaging uses infrared technology to detect very small differences in temperature. Every material has a unique thermal signature and when moisture, heat, cold, or wood destroying insects are introduced into the structure the image signatures changes. The changes can be subtle or dramatic but with this incredible thermal scanning technology the thermal signatures are detectable where they wouldn’t be able to be seen with the naked eye.

Thermal Imaging and Thermography and How  a Pinellas County Home Buyer can Benefit From it.

Thermal image scanning technology is now being used to evaluate residential and commercial structures. As a non-invasive testing tool it can quickly help discern where there are suspected issues. This can help to limit the areas where time consuming further evaluation andInfrared - thermal imaging and home inspections in pinellas county destructive discovery is needed.  No home inspection is complete without  a Thermal Imaging scan.

Advantages of infrared thermal imaging are that non-contact temperature acquisition can be obtained without touching the object. This is particularly advantageous when we are not able to access the object (for safety reasons) or that a system must otherwise be shut down for evaluation. Two dimensional evaluations can be made by comparing the temperature of multiple targets within the same scan. This temperature differential between like objects produces the anomalies which we seek. Thermal imaging is real time. It is not necessary to wait for processing of images and immediate evaluations can be obtained
